The Opportunity The APP Group has a new role for an experienced Surveillance Officer with extensive experience in civil construction projects to be based in Canberra. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of infrastructure, ensuring quality and excellence on groundbreaking projects. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and ensure the highest quality standards on our infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Provide onsite verification of works, contractors' QA systems, and all other onsite activities for designated projects. Maintain detailed site records, including photographic and written documentation, to verify work completion and quality. Offer real-time feedback on construction issues to the project team and stakeholders. Support Project Engineers, Managers, and Directors to ensure effective project delivery while taking responsibility for day‑to‑day surveillance of assigned project elements. About You Proven experience in technical surveillance or quality assurance within engineering or construction, with a strong track record of managing and verifying onsite activities. Demonstrated experience working on Civil Construction projects with light rail experience desirable. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is desirable but not essential. Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, Australian Standards, and construction documentation. Excellent client and stakeholder relationship management skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a high‑performing team.
