Disability Officer Location: Clayton campus Employment Type: Full-time Duration: 12-month fixed-term appointment Remuneration: $83,424- $95,825 pa HEW Level 05 (plus 17% employer superannuation) The Opportunity Are you passionate about empowering students and driving inclusive change? Monash University is seeking a Disability Officer to support accessibility and student success at Clayton campus. The Disability Officer manages a full-time caseload of students, including those identified as 'at risk', providing tailored support and fostering independence and self-advocacy across the student community. The Disability Officer contributes to innovation by researching and recommending cutting‑edge technologies to enhance academic support. Collaboration with colleagues, sharing expertise and contributing to operational planning is a core part of elevating service delivery and informing the future of Disability Support Services. Amplify your impact at a world top 50 University Join our inclusive, collaborative community Be surrounded by extraordinary ideas - and the people who discover them Qualifications To be successful the ideal candidate will have : A solid understanding of Commonwealth and State anti‑discrimination legislation and a commitment to access and equity for people underrepresented in higher education A growth mindset and dedication to staying up to date with industry standards through relevant professional development and training Experience assessing and coordinating reasonable adjustments to enable success in higher education Proven ability to confidently engage with staff across the University and external organisations – negotiating, influencing and building strong partnerships around disability support High level written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to a wide range of audiences A collaborative and self‑directed approach to work, comfortable working in a team or independently.
