Brand & Channel Marketing Manager – Cocktails (Australia) American Beverage Marketers (ABM) American Beverage Marketers (ABM) is the global leader in premium cocktail mixers, creating brands that are trusted by bartenders, hospitality professionals, and retailers in over 100 countries . In Australia, ABM works closely with leading distributors, spirit companies, retailers, and hospitality groups to grow the cocktail mixer category and bring high-quality, consistent cocktail solutions to market. We are now looking for a Brand & Channel Marketing Manager to take ownership of our Australian business , driving brand demand, in-trade execution, and commercial conversion across on-premise, retail, and e‑commerce channels. The Role This is a hands‑on, mid‑level Sales, Brand, Marketing role for someone who is hungry, energetic, and ready to take real ownership. You will be responsible for building consumer demand and driving commercial outcomes for the ABM portfolio in Australia. The role requires strong collaboration with the ABM APAC team (reporting line) , while working day‑to‑day with distributors, sales teams, brand ambassadors, agencies, and spirit partners locally. This role suits someone who wants to grow their capability , build credibility in the trade, and be closely involved in execution. What You’ll Be Doing Brand Strategy & Planning Develop and execute annual brand and channel plans for the ABM portfolio in Australia, aligned with global brand direction and local commercial priorities. Lead brand positioning, messaging, and content localisation for the Australian market. Manage the A&P budget across ATL and BTL activity, ensuring efficient investment and clear ROI. Support innovation and new product launches, including go‑to‑market planning and execution. Translate brand strategy into practical, channel‑specific activation programs that drive distribution, visibility, and sales. Develop retailer, wholesaler, and on‑premise toolkits that are relevant, usable, and engaging for sales teams. Lead execution of promotions, product launches, tastings, and trade campaigns across liquor retail, grocery, foodservice, and on‑premise. Manage the development and rollout of POSM, VAPs, and trade assets. Spend regular time in market working alongside sales reps and distributor teams to support execution. Partner closely with State Sales Managers, distributor teams, and brand ambassadors to support sell‑in and activation. Work collaboratively with spirit brand partners to drive joint activations and cross‑brand opportunities. Participate in regular planning forums, sales briefings, and commercial reviews. Report into and collaborate closely with the ABM APAC team through regular WIPs and business updates. Contribute to forecasting, A&P tracking, and performance analysis. Digital & E‑Commerce Marketing Coordinate social, digital, and e‑commerce campaigns with agencies and partners. Localise global digital assets and optimise content for Australian shoppers and platforms. Support ongoing content creation and campaign storytelling across key channels. People & Ways of Working Act as a connector across marketing, sales, distributors, and brand partners. Bring an “Insight → Action → Execution” mindset to the role. Build strong working relationships through energy, collaboration, and accountability. Operate with pace, curiosity, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves. What We’re Looking For 3–5 years’ experience in brand, channel, or trade marketing within FMCG, beverage, spirits, or hospitality. Experience working across on‑premise, liquor retail, grocery, and/or e‑commerce channels. Proven ability to develop and execute trade marketing or category activation programs. Experience managing agencies, budgets, social media, and cross‑functional projects. Strong commercial mindset with the ability to link marketing activity to sales outcomes. Confident communicator who can work effectively with sales teams and external partners. Organised, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously.
