Located on the highly frequented Gold Coast Highway, the restaurant attracts strong local and tourist demand, offering a relaxed dining atmosphere with a focus on fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. To support our busy kitchen operations, we are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. Location: Broadbeach QLD 4218 | Position: Cook – Full-Time | Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation About the Role The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of Italian dishes, including pastas, appetizers, mains, and assisting with pizza preparation. You will ensure consistency in flavour, presentation, and portioning while supporting smooth kitchen service during busy periods. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a range of Italian dishes according to restaurant standards. Assist with pizza preparation, toppings, dough handling, and oven operations as required. Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control across all menu items. Monitor ingredient freshness, stock rotation, and proper food storage practices. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in line with food safety and WHS requirements. Assist with menu changes, daily specials, and seasonal dish development. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Support training and guidance of junior kitchen staff. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow. Skills & Experience Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification. Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen (required for 482 visa). Experience in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine highly regarded. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality.
