Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team and assist in the day-to-day kitchen operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistency and quality in a fast-paced café and restaurant setting. The Tasks for the Position Include : Preparing and cooking a variety of Western-style dishes for breakfast, lunch, and special menus Assisting in planning and organizing daily kitchen operations Ensuring all dishes are consistently prepared, portioned, and presented to restaurant standards Seasoning and cooking food according to recipes and menu requirements Monitoring food quality, freshness, and portion control to maintain high standards Managing stock levels, ordering ingredients, and minimizing food wastage Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure efficiency and safety Assisting the Chef in developing new menu items and daily specials Working collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours Skills and Qualification Requirements : Minimum Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualification At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen Sound knowledge of Western-style cuisine and modern café dishes Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality under pressure in a fast-paced environment Application Process : I nterested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their relevant experience and qualifications to .
