TUG Drivers & MC Truck driver - AM & PM Shifts Drive Local. Be Home Daily. Join a National Leader in Freight. Border Express is on the lookout for experienced and safety conscious MC Drivers to join our growing team at our Cranbourne depot. Whether you're an early riser or prefer an afternoon start, we have AM and PM shift opportunities to suit your lifestyle. These positions play an integral part in the safe, efficient and effective movement of freight to achieve the delivery promise that we have made to our customers. Local work only – home every day/ night AM or PM shifts with full time hours Join a team that values its drivers and puts safety first Access to modern equipment, great depot facilities, and a long term career path PLEASE NOTE: These are local metro driving positions and Tug driving roles . Not interstate. About the roles: Local bulk parcel deliveries and pickups around metro Melbourne Operating both single and double trailer combinations Frequent interaction with customers – you’re the face of Border Express on the road Efficient use of time, clear runs, and plenty of support from dispatch Ensure all freight is delivered on time, in full and with no damages Transhipment runs between our Tullamarine and Cranbourne depots Operate a yard tug at each depot to move trailers for loading/unloading Reverse parking MC and HC trailers into docks and allocated bays Work closely with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth overnight freight processing Both Roles: Check all paperwork is completed accurately and real time signatures are obtained at all times Adhere to all relevant laws and legislation including load restraint guides, DG codes, fatigue management legislation, road laws and council regulations Undertake safe and effective loading, unloading and movement of freight in accordance with company & statutory guidelines Skills and Experience: A current MC licence with at least 2 years of experience is essential for this position Experience in multi pick up/ drop off Confidence operating both single and multi combination trailers Good reversing skills and experience working in a depot or yard environment A current forklift licence is an advantage, especially for PM shift Prior experience driving a Tug is advantageous A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and reliability Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and be punctual and professional Our ideal candidate will also be flexible in their approach to work, possess a strong team and work ethic and must be prepared to participate in the company training scheme.
