Intensive Care Paramedic (Multiple Vacancies) Department of Health Tasmania – Burnie TAS Overview Our Intensive Care Paramedic team is a vital component of the Department of Health Tasmania, operating under Ambulance Tasmania, provides essential advanced emergency and non-emergency clinical care and patient transport across the state. These professionals are registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia, hold relevant qualifications, and work flexibly across regions to deliver high-quality care in dynamic environments, supported by a collaborative and inclusive health system. The Role The Role: Provide an advanced level of pre-hospital clinical care to the Tasmanian Community including the transport of patients by ambulance or other means. You will need Attend to members of the community requiring clinical care and treatment via ambulance services. Independently, or as part of a team, deliver pre-hospital clinical care in accordance with approved clinical practice guidelines. Maintain a prescribed level of knowledge in advanced ambulance care practices, including contemporary skills and knowledge in advanced life support and the correct application of ambulance equipment. Details of appointment Multiple Permanent full time and part time, shift worker positions (fully rotational), working up to 76hours per fortnight, commencing in February/March 2026. Fixed term, full time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing in February/March 2026 for 12 months notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $128,066 to $135,655 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania Agreement 2022. Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum Employees employed at Remote sites will be paid a Remote and Rural allowance of 8% or 4% of base Salary depending on site (as specified).
