The Team: Our Intensive Care Paramedic team is a vital component of the Department of Health Tasmania, operating under Ambulance Tasmania, provides essential advanced emergency and non-emergency clinical care and patient transport across the state. These professionals are registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia, hold relevant qualifications, and work flexibly across regions to deliver high-quality care in dynamic environments, supported by a collaborative and inclusive health system. The Role: Provide an advanced level of pre-hospital clinical care to the Tasmanian Community including the transport of patients by ambulance or other means. You will need to: Attend to members of the community requiring clinical care and treatment via ambulance services. Independently, or as part of a team, deliver pre-hospital clinical care in accordance with approved clinical practice guidelines. Maintain a prescribed level of knowledge in advanced ambulance care practices, including contemporary skills and knowledge in advanced life support and the correct application of ambulance equipment. Details of appointment: *Multiple Permanent full time and part time, shift worker positions (fully rotational), working up to 76hours per fortnight, commencing in February/March 2026. *Fixed term, full time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing in February/March 2026 for 12 months *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $128,066 to $135,655 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania Agreement 2022. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Allowances: Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum Employees employed at the following Remote site will be paid a Remote and Rural allowance of 8% of base Salary (Miena, Queenstown, Strahan or Zeehan). Employees employed at the following Remote site will be paid a Remote and Rural allowance of 4% of base Salary (Beaconsfield, Bicheno, Bridport, Bruny Island, Campbell Town, Deloraine, George Town, Nubeena, Oatlands, Ouse, Scamander, Scottsdale, Smithton, Swansea, St Helens or Triabunna).
