Conservation Officer – Queensland Government We are looking for a part‑time skilled project coordinator to deliver on‑ground monitoring for the conservation of threatened species, primarily koalas, across south‑east Queensland. Overview As a part‑time Conservation Officer, you will coordinate a small field team to undertake koala monitoring surveys, manage equipment and assets, and collaborate with stakeholders to support effective decision making. Responsibilities Coordinate field programs and a small field team for koala monitoring surveys. Manage equipment, assets and project documentation. Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders, including government agencies, research institutions and community groups. Collate records and ensure high‑standard data accuracy. Deliver strong project management, uphold WHS, animal ethics and permit requirements. Mentor colleagues and contribute to a safe, inclusive and culturally informed workplace. Qualifications Experience coordinating field projects and managing complex workloads. Strong organisational and communication skills. Demonstrated problem‑solving ability in a rapidly changing environment. Sound knowledge of research and ecological principles. Knowledge of WHS, animal ethics and permit requirements (preferred).
