The role is focused on providing leadership, governance and expertise to support the Diploma of Nursing (DON) in providing best practice learning and development services in an environment of continuous improvement. Typical duties of the role include.Lead all academic matters within the Diploma of Nursing (DON) programDrive performance improvement initiativesFoster a culture of continuous improvementEncourage the adoption of best practices in learning and development systems, programs, and processesManagement of the any advisory committees and any other groups as needed to discharge responsibilitiesFoster and contributing to the cultivation of a continuous quality culture within the program, aligning educational and practice development plansEnsure all education programs and services are in alignment with national training package requirementsEnsure all programs are rigorously evaluatedSupport the Director of Education and Training in developing and implementing strategic and operational plansProvide operational leadership and management of a team of education professionals to achieve effective, efficient and best practice outcomes in education activities, programs, projects and initiativesManage operational services including input to the budget, equipment and supplies procurement, scheduling of courses and staff, leadership of Education LeadsEnsuring simulation capability is embedded across Mater Diploma of Nursing program to support high level and consistent delivery of simulation education and translational simulationAccountable for program design, delivery and evaluationSupporting the Director of Education and Training in growing Mater Education’s profileResponsible for leading student engagement and retention strategies with the DONResponsible for operational budget and efficienciesExceed compliance requirements set by regulatory frameworks such as AQSA, ANMAC, NMBA, and AHPRA, ensuring academic excellence and adherence to professional and business accreditationMonitor of regulatory requirements / changes of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation council and enacting appropriate changes to the DON programComplete and submit annual reports and submissions to accreditation bodies as requiredActively build, develop and manage key strategic partner relationships across Mater Education, and Mater GroupFacilitate research and industry engagement endeavours within the program,Actively contribute to academic, research, student, and course partnerships, fostering a collaborative atmosphere within the programAbout youAs our new Senior Manager Diploma of Nursing and Head of Discipline you will have:Bachelor of Nursing and Registered with AHPRA as a Registered NurseCertificate IV in Training and AssessmentHigh level of experience in leading and managing a team of education professionalsProven experience in managing cohorts of adult learnersExperience in preparing ANMAC submissionsStrong experience in developing resources for national training packagesExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsCurrent knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment providedMater
