Location : Boorloo (Highgate, Perth WA) Employment Type : Full Time (1.0 FTE) Employment Category : Maximum Term until 31 December 2026, with the possibility of extension Remuneration : $91,334.17 - $96,479.76 per annum pro rata + superannuation + salary sacrifice + mobile phone / allowance The Public Health Program Officer - Immunisation is responsible for consulting with the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector and community to identify key health promotion focus areas for improving immunisation coverage rates for Aboriginal peoples. This role will work closely with the Immunisation Jurisdictional Coordinator and Immunisation Trainer to : Engage with the ACCHS workforce and community to gather data and assess immunisation‑related needs; Develop planned tailored health promotion strategies, resources, and sustainable support systems; and Undertake collaborative planning and reporting to guide future immunisation activities. To view the full position description and selection criteria, click here or visit About You We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience : Possession of relevant health qualification (e.g. Public Health / Health Promotion / Certificate IV in Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice / Bachelor of Nursing etc.) Demonstrated experience in the primary health care setting, including but not limited to : Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS), public health, health promotion or clinical. Demonstrated knowledge of continuous quality improvement (CQI) principles, ideally within primary health care. Understanding of the social determinants affecting Aboriginal peoples' health status. Demonstrated ability to uphold the principles of cultural safety including an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Ideally , in addition to the above, we are looking for someone who identifies as Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander and is acknowledged as such by their community. Please note : In addition to the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will require an unrestricted WA “C” Class Driver's Licence, and be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) prior to appointment.
