Waste Operator | PSC1031 – Bendigo Advertiser This role is available at the Salamander Bay Waste Transfer Station. It is a contract position up until 30 June 2026. Contract Details Full time 38 hours / week with a flexible working arrangement and the ability to work overtime Base Salary Range: $66,578 to $71,535 per annum, plus 12% superannuation, adverse work allowance and $2,464 retention allowance Responsibilities Safe and effective operation of allocated plant items within all WHS and legal requirements Sorting of waste to achieve resource recovery and remove unsuitable waste from designated waste streams Work across plant operation, manual floor work, and customer service within the weighbridge operations Qualifications Certification III in Waste Management Demonstrated safe and effective operation of a frontend loader/backhoe to a ‘self load’ capability standard and appropriate WorkCover or equivalent accreditation Experience and safe manual handling techniques in manual labouring Communication skills and experience working in a customer‑facing environment Benefits Work/life balance with generous leave entitlements, flexible work options and leave in lieu Health & Wellbeing leave to recharge when you need it PSCare Day available to all employees in addition to regular leave entitlements Confidential support (including mental health) through our employee assistance program Award‑winning health and wellbeing program PSCare, Workers Health Initiative with access to a broad range of gyms in the area and discounted health insurance Additional Information This is a 2024 Circle Back Initiative Employer – we commit to respond to every applicant.
