The only Power Platform Developer in the team The Power Platform Developer will provide expert-level technical leadership, solution design, and development across Microsoft Power Platform. The role combines hands‑on development, architectural guidance, and best‑practice consulting to uplift the business’ internal capability. The contractor will enable the business to perform simple tasks independently while delivering more complex, enterprise‑grade solutions. This role requires deep technical experience in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and related tools, and a strong understanding of how to design scalable, secure, and supportable solutions across development, UAT, and production environments. Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Best Practice Consulting Provide strategic direction and advisory services on Power Platform best practices. Design end‑to‑end solutions aligned with enterprise standards, governance, and security. Guide business teams on what they can build themselves versus what requires advanced development. Improve and streamline business processes before automation is applied. Power Platform Development Deliver advanced Power Platform solutions including complex Power Apps (model‑driven & canvas), Power Automate flows, and automation pipelines. Develop high‑quality, scalable components using Power Platform, Power BI Desktop, and related Microsoft tools. Integrate solutions with Dev Studio, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, and other enterprise systems. Build solutions that support long‑term maintainability and extensibility. Environment & Lifecycle Management Manage and provision Development, UAT, and Production environments. Implement and uphold SDLC processes, including version control, peer reviews, testing, and deployment pipelines. Ensure governance, security, and compliance across the Power Platform ecosystem. Reporting, Analytics & Automation Develop advanced Power BI dashboards and data models. Automate manual processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk. Diagnose and remediate automation issues, data‑structure problems, and performance bottlenecks. Capability Uplift Mentor business users to perform simpler tasks and build low‑code solutions safely. Train teams on Power Platform tools, integration patterns, and development standards. Key Skills & Experience Required Deep, hands‑on Development experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse). Experience with .NET. Strong architectural capability—beyond app building—to design major, enterprise‑level platforms. Expertise in Power BI and Power BI Desktop, including data modelling and DAX. Advanced understanding of integration tools and technologies (Dev Studio, Copilot, APIs, connectors). Proven experience establishing and working with Dev/UAT/Production environments. Strong command of SDLC practices and automation pipelines. Ability to analyse and fix flawed or inefficient business processes prior to automation. Excellent communication and consulting skills. Compensation The daily rate will be between $1000-$1200 per day inclusive of Super , depending on experience.
