The Role: This flexible role offers 5 to 30+ hours per week based on your availability. Shifts are rostered and include weekends and after hours, making it easy to fit around your other commitments. Key Responsibilities Assist with race day duties, including identification of racing animals and persons, swabbing procedures involving the handling of urine and blood samples. Ensure the security and integrity of samples collection, and sampling equipment. Assist with non-race day duties, including stable and kennel inspections and race trials. Identify breaches of the Rules of Racing and provide reports to the Chairman of Stewards. About You While knowledge of the racing industry is useful, it’s not essential – we value your passion for animal welfare and your willingness to work hard and get directly involved. To excel in this role, you’ll also need: A strong work ethic and the ability to handle physical, hands‑on tasks. A genuine passion for the care and welfare of animals. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle conflict with professionalism and fairness. A collaborative attitude, working effectively as part of a team.
