The Opportunity As a Stipendiary Steward, you’ll: Enforce the Rules of Racing and maintain integrity at race meetings, trials, and inspections. Support inquiries, investigations, and appeals. Monitor betting activities and lead swabbing procedures. Mentor junior stewards and contribute to industry compliance. This full‑time role (38 hours per week) offers flexibility to work from Hobart or Launceston. Relocation assistance is available for mainland candidates. Ideal for Recent Cadets If you’ve recently completed a cadetship and want hands‑on experience across all three racing codes, this is the perfect next step. What We’re Looking For Previous experience as a Steward or strong knowledge of racing operations. Understanding of the Rules of Racing and principles of procedural fairness.
