Job Description Your Impact: As Kitchen Team Lead, you’ll lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality meals tailored to the needs of our residents. You’ll balance hands-on kitchen work with strategic oversight, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in every dish served. What You'll Do: Lead and inspire kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service Plan and execute seasonal, dietician-approved menus (including IDDSI texture-modified diets) that meet residents’ tastes, preferences, and dietary needs Manage food safety compliance (HACCP), audits, and accreditation standards Oversee inventory, ordering, rostering, and budget control Collaborate with clinical teams, residents, and families to ensure satisfaction Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards Hands on role both in kitchen and office Drive continuous improvement in kitchen operations and staff development About You: Ability to lead a successful team and have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility of the team’s overall performance Demonstrated decision making, problem solving and conflict management skills. High standard of food preparation and productivity Strong understanding of aged care catering standards Experience in budget management and cost control Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills Compassionate, resident-focused approach Desired Skills and Experience Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookeryor an equivalentqualification.
