We are currently partnering with a leading hard rock mining operation to recruit an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor on a 12-month contract basis with the potential to transition to a permanent role. This role offers the chance to join a high-performing team of environmental, approvals, and community professionals dedicated to delivering strong outcomes across site. About the Role Reporting to the Environment Superintendent, you will play a key part in environmental compliance, monitoring, reporting, and project work. You’ll be working in a supportive and collaborative environment committed to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and track environmental monitoring programs across air, water, soil, sediments, and waste Assess environmental data and report results against regulatory and site standards Support the development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems, procedures, and plans Manage reporting obligations, including NGERS, NPI, waste reporting and monthly environmental reports Investigate and report environmental incidents, ensuring timely corrective actions Provide environmental guidance to operations and support ongoing environmental projects Collaborate with internal teams to deliver innovative solutions and continuous improvement initiatives About You Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or a related discipline Minimum 4 years of experience in an environmental role within mining (hard rock experience highly regarded) Strong understanding of environmental compliance, monitoring, and reporting High attention to detail with strong data interpretation and problem-solving capability Experience with EMS systems, GIS software, and environmental databases Confident communicator able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and work both autonomously and within a team Manual driver’s licence and willingness to work a site-based roster Candidates based within the northern Queensland region or open to relocating are encouraged to apply What’s on Offer Contract role with potential for extension Competitive remuneration aligned with experience DIDO roster on an 8/6 schedule On-site accommodation and meals provided Join a reputable mining operation with long-term growth and stability Supportive team with deep environmental and operational expertise If you're a driven environmental professional looking for your next step in the mining sector, we’d love to hear from you.
