About the Role We’re looking for motivated, enthusiastic team players who are passionate about working with children and eager to learn. As a Learn to Swim Assistant Teacher, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive, safe, and fun learning environment for our students. What You’ll Do: Support experienced instructors to deliver safe, educational, and engaging lessons in the water Help set up and pack away equipment Encourage and engage children in the water Assist in providing guidance to help children achieve their swimming goals Collaborate with pool deck assistants, instructors, and reception to ensure smooth lesson delivery Receive hands‑on mentorship, coaching, and feedback to build your teaching skills Progress into a fully qualified Learn to Swim Instructor, including completion of Swim Teacher and Baby Swim qualifications What We’re Looking For: Swimming experience and a passion for aquatics Understanding of competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly (desirable) Current Working With Children Check Current CPR certification Positive, reliable, and eager to learn Great communicator and team player Committed to safety, integrity, and respect in everything you do Excited to celebrate kids’ achievements every lesson Someone who brings energy, patience, and positivity to every class Shifts (Casual & Flexible): Weekday mornings: 9:00am–12:00pm Weekday afternoons: 3:30pm–6:30pm Saturdays: 7:30am–12:00pm Sundays: 8:00am–11:00am Who This Role Is Perfect For: Year 11, Year 12, or uni students, or anyone wanting casual work around study or other commitments Passionate about developing a career in teaching swimming, especially in babies and early childhood programs Someone who wants to grow from Assistant Teacher to fully qualified Instructor and build skills in a supportive environment Why Join Us?
