Northern Adelaide Local Health Network – Modbury SA Northern Adelaide Local Health Network – Lyell McEwin & Modbury Hospitals – Elizabeth Vale & Modbury Total Indicative Remuneration: $114,509 - $178,309 p.a. – MDP2 Temporary Full-Time, up to 1 February 2027 About the Role: The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking passionate and skilled Medical Practitioners to join our Division of Surgical Specialties and Anaesthesia. The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia. In this role, you will be placed across four units – Acute Surgical Unit (ASU), Modbury General Surgery, Port Pirie Regional Health Service and Alice Springs Hospital – and offered a combination of time on two of these units throughout the year, providing broad exposure to emergency and general elective surgery. You will work alongside renowned specialists whilst serving our diverse community with comprehensive surgical care. Monthly dedicated ASU Registrar teaching is offered by fellows and consultants. This role has been designed to prepare suitable candidates for application to general surgery training through exposure to a high volume of common general surgery presentations and operations. You will be expected to participate in research and quality improvement and undertake other courses and appropriate activities to further your surgical career goals. Opportunities for teaching, research publications and higher degrees can be discussed and supported. As per the SA Health Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial allocation as Medical Practitioner will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities. To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration. The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
