The opportunity & how you will make an impact. We are seeking an experienced Senior Urban Designer with a strong background in greenfield projects to join our Melbourne team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape innovative and sustainable communities, working on diverse projects that make a tangible impact. In this role, you will: Develop innovative and sustainable master plans, urban design frameworks, and design guidelines, principally for greenfield residential and employment developments but also large infill sites. Manage the design process for development projects from inception to completion. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions. Conduct comprehensive site and context analysis, research and feasibility studies to inform design decisions. Engage with stakeholders, including local councils, developers, and community groups, to ensure project alignment with community needs and regulatory requirements. Prepare and present drawings, rationales and reports to clients and stakeholders. Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in greenfield development. About you. We are looking for talented professionals who are purpose-driven, collaborative, and thrive in high-performing environments. You will ideally have: A tertiary qualification in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban & Regional Planning, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years' experience in urban design, with a strong focus on greenfield projects. Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality greenfield development projects. Strong design, analytical, problem-solving, project management, communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in design and analysis software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS. Why Urbis? We are passionate about purpose with impact .
