Bunker/Wharf Operator

About the role An exciting opportunity is available for a casual Bunker/Wharf Operator to join our Caleb Brett team in Darwin The successful candidate will be responsible for attending bunker operations that supplies bunker to vessels, tugs, and cruise liners. As well as connection/disconnection of multigrade vessels. Complete masters’ requisitions and safety checks. Set up a safe work area. Connection and disconnection of bunker hose. Control the bunker via the bunker delivery note. Transfer petroleum products from tankers to terminal. Transfer diesel to vessels on various wharfs. Transfer of sulphuric acid from tankers to terminal. Set up bulk liquid berth on east arm ready for transfer. Connection of loading arms and/or hose. Sampling and testing of line samples. Monitoring of operations at wharf end. Selection criteria Strong written and verbal communication skills. LR licence required. Valid MSIC card or ability to obtain. Mechanical knowledge is required. Ability to complete heavy lifting tasks. Knowledge of the fuel industry is an advantage. Prior experience in a Bunker Operator role is advantageous.
