These centers offer a welcomingspace where clients can enjoy activities, engage with thecommunity, and develop essential life skills and confidence. Our day programs cater to individuals with a wide range ofsupport needs, including those who use wheelchairs and other aids.We also offer additional support for our clients' medical and careneeds. Clients may attend our day programs on weekdays or joincommunity participation activities on weekends, tailored to theirindividual levels of disability and goals. Our support workers engage with clients to develop skillsthrough activities such as cooking, music, crafts, leisure sports,reading, singing, and much more. About The role : The role of a Disability Support Worker in our Day Programs isto support clients with disabilities, focusing on skill developmentand enriching their lives through engaging, creative activities.Additionally, this role may involve providing in-home support forclients, which could require working afternoon and nightshifts. About You : Confident in engaging with clientseffectively, building positive relationships, and supporting theirunique needs. Resilient and self-assured, able to work withclients from diverse backgrounds. Skilled in prioritizing tasks anddemonstrating problem-solving abilities. Flexible , with availability for shift work,sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays. Proficient in Microsoft Office , particularlyWord and Outlook. Holder of a valid Australian Driver's License ,Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Workers ScreeningCheck. Able to pass a National Criminal HistoryCheck . 3 COVID Vaccination Doses : Fully vaccinatedwith 3 doses. Experience with high-needs Disability clients Certificate III or IV in Disability Support orequivalent (desirable) Demonstrated understanding of the National DisabilityInsurance Agency (NDIA) processes (desirable) Why You'll Love Working with Us : Schad's Award Level 2 pay rates based onqualifications and / or experience.
