About the role With exciting growth happening across our operations, we are now looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our Sustainability team, primarily supporting the three underground mines at our Mungari Gold Operations. The position will be on an 8:6 (12-hour) day roster, based either residentially or FIFO from Perth. Our Health and Safety Advisors strive for safety and health best practice at our Mungari Operations by coaching and guiding people in the application of risk management, safety and health processes along with how to use the supporting systems and tools. Our Advisors ensure our systems are in place, are understood by all stakeholders, are effective and maintained. This opportunity will allow you to further develop your technical skills, learning and engaging with stakeholders across our mining operations and the broader Sustainability team. About you As a passionate health and safety professional, you demonstrate a ‘safety first’ mindset, strive for excellence, take accountability for your work and understand what’s needed to progress safety maturity, psychosocial safety and employee wellbeing in the mining industry. Naturally, you are an effective communicator (verbal and written), able to quickly establish rapport with stakeholders at all levels. Working in a collaborative team you will be open to feedback, respect other’s opinions and challenge constructively to build trust and create an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work. You will have: Tertiary Qualifications in Health and Safety 2yrs + Open Pit, Gold Processing, and Exploration mining operational experience (Required) Experience with facilitating risk assessments (Required) Auditing qualification (Highly regarded) Underground mining operational experience (highly regarded) Experience using INX and Pronto systems (highly regarded) Competent in writing and reviewing management plans, procedures, work method statements and other related system documentation We are an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce that represents the communities in which we operate.
