Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking a motivated and adaptable Trades Assistant to support maintenance and operations across a key energy client site ⚡ . Working a FIFO roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off) flying from Brisbane to Miles, you’ll play an important part in ensuring the smooth delivery of essential site services. Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll work collaboratively with both client and BGIS teams to maintain compliance, safety, and service quality - contributing to a workplace where initiative, teamwork, and reliability are valued every day. Key Responsibilities Support scheduled and reactive maintenance in line with statutory regulations and BGIS standards. Apply WHSE requirements to identify, report, and eliminate workplace hazards. Maintain tools, assets, and building equipment under supervision of the Facilities Manager. Foster positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and team members. Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold a safety-first culture on site. Education, Experience & Skills Trade background with relevant qualifications or experience in a maintenance or facilities setting. Valid Driver’s Licence . Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Comfortable working to high safety standards in remote or industrial environments. Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new systems. Experience within energy, resources, or industrial environments. Exposure to QA, OH&S, or environmental management systems. Willingness to upskill (e.g., 4WD/toggle training provided). Workplace Flexibility This role is FIFO Brisbane to Miles on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster. Accommodation and transport are provided, including a tablet for site use. Why Join BGIS?
