We are currently seeking enthusiastic candidates who are currently studying, or willing to undertake trade related studies, to join the busy Building Trades team as a full-time Apprentice Carpenter. The successful candidate will be trained by a team of qualified tradespeople whilst undertaking relevant vocational studies. Council provides pre-approved time to attend TAFE and will reimburse fees based on satisfactory attendance and performance at both work and TAFE. Furthermore, a commitment to workplace safety and customer service is fundamental. We will trust you to bring Currently undertaking or willingness to undertake vocational learning in a relevant trade area. Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible manner and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Demonstrated experience in dealing with members of the public. Be self‑motivated and show initiative in the delegated areas of responsibility. A willingness to comply with all Council’s policies and procedures. It is desirable but not essential to have a class C or MR driver’s licence, be familiar with the City of Randwick and hold a current First Aid Certificate.
