We’re looking for a Storeperson/ Kitroom Associate & Courier Driver to join our Townsville operations. This dual-role is vital to ensuring hospitals and healthcare providers receive critical medical devices and supplies, helping create better patient outcomes every single day. About the Role This is a hands‑on role where you’ll split your time between being a Kitroom Associate and a Support Driver. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm , with weekend work required on‑call fortnightly on a rotating basis. As a Storeperson/ Kitroom Associate, you will: Assemble and prepare surgical kits to strict quality and sterile handling standards. Monitor inventory, conduct stocktakes, and coordinate replenishment. Maintain SOPs and best practices for safety and quality. Act as a key point of contact for Townsville operations, escalating issues as required. As a Support Driver, you will: Assist with overflow deliveries and airfreight collection from the airport. Safely load, unload, and transport medical products. Maintain and present company provided 2 tonne van to a professional standard. Follow delivery processes, including proof of delivery and chain‑of‑custody requirements. Represent Smartways with professionalism when dealing with healthcare clients. Who We’re Looking For 2–3 years’ warehousing experience plus at least 2 years as a courier/delivery driver. Experience in medical, kitroom, or warehouse environments (preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Exceptional attention to detail, safety‑conscious, and process‑driven. Strong communication skills; comfortable working independently and within a team. A commitment to excellent client outcomes with an understanding of patient impact. Why Join Smartways?
