The Role We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service. As a vital team member, you will provide high‑quality, safe and efficient nursing support for urgent conditions that are not immediately life‑threatening. In collaboration with the Registered Nurses (RN), you will focus on ensuring all patients that present to the Urgent Care Service are given the appropriate care. Your Responsibilities Create a welcoming, organized and efficient clinical environment – keeping the centre compliant, stocked and efficient, supporting smooth daily operations. You’ll balance administrative responsibilities (40%) like Medicare billing, accurate coding, and meticulous documentation, with hands‑on clinical work (60%) that impacts patient care. Be the friendly face patients rely on – greeting them warmly, assisting with appointment scheduling, and maintaining up‑to‑date registration details. Work alongside Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional care for injuries and illnesses. Perform a variety of clinical care activities – from conducting detailed patient history assessments and administering medications to wound care, plastering and providing essential education. Maintain Professional Standards and Safety – ensure all care is delivered within your scope and aligns with ForHealth’s policies, creating a safe environment for patients and staff. Support patient guidance, making sound assessments of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Document with precision and care – ensure comprehensive, clear and accurate records that support ongoing patient treatment and quality care. Champion workplace health and safety by actively participating in safety initiatives, promptly reporting any incidents or hazards and fostering a secure environment. About You Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse. Must be flexible and available evenings and weekends. Meet the minimum experience level in any one of the following: 3 years of experience as a Primary Care/General practice nurse, 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department/similar setting, 3 years of experience in Medical/Surgical, Orthopaedics or similar acute care areas. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handle escalations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. A passion for patient‑centred care and a personable approach.
