Tasmanian Independent Retailers – Hobart TAS Are you ready to make an impact across Tasmania’s independent supermarket network? Tasmanian Independent Retailers (TIR), the team behind IGA Tasmania and Island Fresh Produce, is looking for a motivated Area Manager to join the Member Operations Team on a full-time, statewide basis. In this role, you’ll travel across Tasmania, working directly with our member stores to strengthen operations, improve customer experience, and support the ongoing success of the IGA network. About the Role No two days are the same in this dynamic role. As an Area Manager, you’ll be working with stores, conducting audits, supporting community-focused store owners, and helping retailers lift standards, grow sales, and deliver outstanding customer experiences. While this role covers stores across Tasmania, we’re especially interested in candidates near Southern Tasmania to support our Hobart presence, though applications from anywhere in Tasmania are encouraged. You’ll report directly to the General Manager of Operations and play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and brand consistency across all IGA stores. Key responsibilities include: Partnering with stores to improve retail performance and customer service Supporting retailers with inventory, labour management, and sales growth Maintaining brand and operational standards across all departments Building strong, trusted relationships with store owners and teams This is a hands‑on role for a professional who enjoys leadership, problem‑solving, and working closely with people in a fast‑paced, retail‑focused environment.
