In this newly created role in our business, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the day‑to‑day operations and architecture of our Cloud platform including our Datacentre, Networking and Compute environments. Working closely with key stakeholders and technical teams, you'll guide all customer outcomes with first‑class solutions ranging from requirements gathering and business problem mapping through to implementation, delivery, and on‑going operations, ensuring seamless transition for our customers into and within the ETHAN Cloud product suite and delivering on customer value. You’ll also live and breathe our 10 commandments* (see More Than an Appendix below). MORE THAN A ROLE Our role descriptions aren’t the norm. This key role will see you collaborating with Customer Service Managers, Service Delivery Managers, Principal Consultants and ETHAN CTO to develop and maintain our SLA’s, architecture, and reliability outcomes. This includes overseeing technical design, operational processes, governance & assurance, project delivery (new platforms and services and customer on/off boarding) and day to day success of the team. Key responsibilities include: Design & Architectural ownership : Maintain a strategic view of the product and ensure alignment with the overall platform architecture in conjunction with other internal stakeholders. Vendor Management : Work closely with key vendors to manage delivery, leverage new technologies and partnership offerings. Product Development : In conjunction with the Principal Consultant, contribute to pricing, pre‑sales engagements, marketing activities, and training. Technical Leadership & Governance : Lead design workshops, address compliance concerns, and contribute to organisational training programs. Operational Management : Support the department heads to ensure delivery of services within defined SLAs and support the coaching/mentoring and L&D requirements of the Cloud team. Demonstration & Training Delivery : Provide training to customers, engineering teams, and internal staff as required. Security Awareness and Leadership : Ensure best practice security practices are being implemented and enforced. Always look to identify weaknesses and take ownership to resolve, practice and teach across the group. THE ABSOLUTES-MUSTS Sound working knowledge in well-known Industry Cloud Frameworks, Private Cloud Architecture, Product Management, or Engineering Management with demonstrable experience in Systems Integrator/Managed Service Provider. High‑level of competencies (demonstrable experience) in: VMware (vSphere, vCenter, NSX) Microsoft Operating Systems Understanding of multi‑tenancy concepts, design principals and implementations Sound competencies in: Datacentre Networking (VLANs, VXLAN, EVPN, QinQ, Routing, Overlay Networks) Storage Protocols use and operation (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NVMe Fabrics, NFS, CIFS, FTP, S3) Data Protection, Backup and Cyber Protection platforms Firewall Policy design and DMZ concepts (inc Micro Segmentation designs) Monitoring and Log analysis/review Think you can fit more than a mould?
