Overview Ready Resources is in need of an experienced Behavioral Support Practitioner to join our team. Casual, Part Time, and Permanent positions available. Based in Western Australia, Ready Resources has grown since from small beginnings to a top choice for major clients. About the Role Collaborate closely with clients, their families, and team members to create environments that promote quality of life while respecting and encouraging their choices and control. Engage with clients, their families and support staff to develop a shared understanding of the reasons for behaviours of concern. Employ a variety of methods, resources, tools, and assessments to offer professional insights and adapt to unique situations, facilitating problem‑solving and innovative solutions tailored to individual needs. Form partnerships with clients, their families, allied health professionals, and support workers to offer comprehensive support to individuals through a positive behavior support approach, including training and coaching when necessary. Conduct functional behavior assessments that lead to the development of individual‑centered positive behavior support plans, created in tandem with clients, their families, support workers, and other stakeholders. What you will need Relevant tertiary degree (e.g., psychology, speech pathology, occupationaltherapy, social work, education, or nursing). Registration with AHPRA. Previous experience as an NDIS community practitioner, with completed NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner Modules. Passion for working with people with a disability. Experience in writing behavioural support programs and reports. Interest in addressing complex behavioural issues. Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities. Exceptional problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills. Dedication to evidence‑based positive behavior support principles in diverse settings. Proficiency in managing workload within a transdisciplinary model. Excellent communication skills for building relationships with stakeholders. Awareness of NDIS and an understanding of the rights and needs of culturally diverse individuals with disabilities. Additional requirements An Australian driver's license, Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, First Aid Certificate, a NDIS Workers Screening Check; and completion of the NDIS Practitioner Suitability Assessment for Behavioural Support Practitioners.
