Works Supervisor Operations – Tuncurry Mid‑Coast Council is seeking a Works Supervisor to join our Operations South team, based at our Tuncurry depot. The position reports directly to the Works Engineer (Construction & Maintenance) and is responsible for coordinating work crews in the effective service delivery of: Construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, footpaths, cycleways and storm‑water drainage networks Providing construction and maintenance services to transport assets Delivering planned maintenance programs Delivering capital works projects Emergency/disaster response and repair (respond to emergencies and natural disaster damage on transport assets) Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of work crews. Ensure compliance with safety standards and WHS requirements. Maintain effective time‑management and problem‑solving capabilities. Participate in an on‑call rotating roster. Qualifications and Experience Minimum Certificate III in Civil Construction or relevant experience. Working knowledge of road, drainage and bridge construction and maintenance. Strong leadership skills: communication, delegation and people management. Commitment to achieving organisational outcomes through collaboration. Sound understanding of WHS requirements and contribution to Council’s safety culture. Effective time‑management and problem‑solving capabilities.
