As a part of our Civil Works and Presentation Division, you will play a vital role in maintaining civil assets and ensuring safety standards are met in all operations. Your contributions will help us achieve our strategic intent of delivering exceptional service to our community. Position Overview The Driver / Operator position is essential for the effective execution of construction and maintenance projects. You will operate heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment while performing various labouring duties as required. This role is under the guidance of Construction and Maintenance Forepersons and the Plant Allocator, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Conduct pre‑start safety checks. Report equipment issues. Adhere to legal and safety regulations. Assist with loading trucks. Maintain equipment cleanliness and security. Ideal Candidate Profile Essential: Class MR Licence and Construction induction card (white card). Essential: Load shifting Plant Operator competency. Desirable: Experience operating a Grader and Class HR Licence. Essential: Previous experience as a plant operator and truck driver. Desirable: Familiarity with Council’s vehicle accident procedures and experience in manual tasks within the construction industry. Interview date: Interviews will be facilitated within 2 weeks of closing. Package: From $66,750 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. Hours of work: Permanent full‑time, 38 hours per week, 9 day fortnight.
