About Northcott The NDIS Partners in the Community Program (PITC) supports the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to be implemented locally. As an NDIA partner, Northcott delivers the NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service to communities across Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Hunter New England, North Sydney and Western Sydney. The ECA supports activities that improve the independence and social participation of children aged 0‑9 with developmental delay and/or disability. Role Overview As an Early Childhood Coordinator you will support families and children to reach their full potential through effective planning, assessment and support. You will work closely with families, community services and the NDIA, facilitating access to early childhood supports and ensuring children achieve improved participation and quality of life. Responsibilities Support families through a child and family‑centred approach, ensuring children receive appropriate interventions based on best practice evidence. Use a diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood, Allied Health, Social Work, or a related field to support evidence‑based decision‑making. Complete functional assessments for children with developmental concerns or disabilities, determining their needs and ensuring timely referrals to appropriate support pathways. Connect families to community services and mainstream programmes to enhance social participation and access to essential services. Guide families through NDIS plan reassessments, gathering evidence, assisting with goal development and ensuring the right support is in place. Utilise the NDIS plan to support children and their families with improved choice, control, social participation and overall quality of life.
