About our schoolHoly Spirit College is a Catholic co‑educational secondary school located in the rapidly developing suburb of Fitzgibbon in North Brisbane, approximately 15km from Brisbane CBD. The College opened in January 2022 with 96 Year 7 students and will increase by one year level annually until we reach Year 12. The College is master‑planned for 1080 students. Summary Location: Holy Spirit College – Fitzgibbon (S) Work hours: 38 hours per week Status: Term‑time | Continuing Contact: ***************@bne.catholic.edu.au About the opportunity We are seeking a dedicated School Officer to join our team at Holy Spirit College. This role will provide vital support to the Design Technologies & Arts curriculum area. In this position you will be responsible for: Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students, including the use of technology and learning support activities Monitoring the progress of students and identifying learning areas to provide evidence‑based intervention strategies Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services Documenting observation notes, intervention programmes and assisting in the collation and preparation of classroom materials About you To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including: Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programmes Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence‑based interventions Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programmes, and preparing classroom materials Certificate III in Education Support For this position you are not required to be Catholic Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement Why choose BCE Join us and be part of the largest Catholic Diocese in Queensland, nurturing your personal and professional development goals.
