To be successful in this role, you will possesses strong technical and practical knowledge of underground coal mining, in addition to your Practising Certificate- Electrical Engineering Manager- issued by the NSW Resource Regulator.
In return, the successful candidate can choose from the following options based on their circumstances:
Option 1: FIFO from Wollongong or Newcastle + paid camp accommodation + salary + super + annual bonus.
Option 2: DIDO or Relocation package to become a Resident Employee + salary + super + annual bonus + 9 day fortnight.
What You’ll DoReporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:Supporting external engineering activities in respect of repairs and overhauls where internal resources are not available.Assisting the Electrical Engineering Manager and undertaking long and short-term electrical engineering planning.Ensuring maintenance work is carried out in a timely and cost effective manner.Proactively manage costs by conducting regular reconciliations of expenditureAssisting with site project work.What You’ll BringTo be successful we are looking for the following attributes and experience from you:Minimum of 5 years experience working in Underground Coal MiningStrong understanding of NSW Coal Mining Regulatory and Statutory RequirementsAdvanced Diploma or Degree in Electrical EngineeringEEM Practising Certificate issued by the Resource RegulatorStrong knowledge and experience in HV, EEHA, PTW and SCADAWhy Whitehaven Coal?FIFO or 9 day fortnight for Residential EmployeesCareer Development, Mentorship and CoachingFull Relocation PackagesAccess to Salary Packaging Including Novated LeasingSalary Sacrifice OpportunitiesBonus Scheme + $1k Company SharesEmployee Referral Scheme - $4000 for Successful Referrals26 Weeks Paid Parental LeaveWhitehaven Coal
