Bidfood Armidale is looking for a confident and customer‑focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative at our branch. This is an inbound, phone‑based role and we’re looking for a driven and energetic Telesales Representative – As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you’ll be the friendly voice that helps them place orders, find what they need and feel supported. Our customer service team is much loved by our customers – not just for getting things right but for building genuine relationships. You’ll also respond to emails, assist with onboarding new customers and support our sales reps with day‑to‑day service and coordination. About the role This is a fast‑paced, inbound customer service and telesales role. You’ll take calls from chefs, kitchen teams and hospitality businesses placing orders or seeking advice. Your support will help keep their operations running smoothly. You’ll work closely with our sales reps and sales manager to ensure customers are well looked after and systems stay up‑to‑date. The role will also require you to: Answer inbound phone calls and take orders Make outbound calls to new and existing customers Build trusted relationships with regular customers Respond to emails and product enquiries in a timely manner. Process orders accurately using internal software Onboard new customers and assign to sales reps Liaise with sales reps and managers to resolve service issues Maintain accurate customer and product records This is a great opportunity to become part of a high energy, dynamic team providing service to our internal and external customers. Duties will include processing daily banking, payroll, quality & HACCP record keeping inwards paperwork, dispatching orders, stock management, scheduling and liaising with customers & suppliers. To succeed you will have initiative and a ‘can‑do’ attitude. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate: Work confidentially and handle sensitive information Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of motivation, meet deadlines, work quickly & accurately Success in managing multiple and diverse tasks & computer systems Additional training will be provided to the successful candidate. About you You’re someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, communicates clearly and stays composed under pressure. Whether it’s a busy phone day or a complex customer query, you bring professionalism, warmth and a can‑do attitude to your work. If you’ve worked in hospitality, retail, administration, call centres, reception, or even fast‑paced medical or logistics environments, your ability to multitask, stay organised and build rapport will be highly regarded. Skills and experience To thrive in this role, you’ll bring strong communication skills, a team mindset and confidence using both computers and phone systems.
