Senior Dietitian – Complex Clinical Obesity Assessment Service The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) is seeking a Senior Dietitian to lead clinical obesity assessment for children with neurodevelopmental disability or medical complexity. The role is a fixed‑term, part‑time position (38 hours per fortnight ) covering maternity leave, reporting to the Neurodevelopment and Disability service within the Nutrition & Food Services Department. About the Role You will provide specialist, high‑quality nutritional assessment for youth with clinical obesity, and will manage ongoing nutrition care, coordinate referrals, and collaborate with primary care and disability services. In Addition to Clinical Duties, this Role Includes Service coordination and continuous improvement initiatives Advocacy for equitable access to health services for youth with obesity Education and training for internal and external healthcare professionals Leadership within Nutrition and Food Services, including team leadership, clinical supervision, and co‑lead of a non‑clinical portfolio Supervision and teaching of students and emerging professionals Participation in quality improvement and research activities What You’ll Achieve Collaborate in a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver integrated, effective patient care Lead in research, teaching and policy development to enhance department quality Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to address patient needs Your Skills and Experience Minimum 7 years of clinical dietetics experience, including paediatric expertise and recognized expertise in complex clinical obesity Full membership eligibility for Dietitians Australia (DA) Team‑oriented approach with demonstrated commitment to collaborative work Experience in project management, research or quality improvement Availability to work Thursdays; other days negotiable Other Requirements Current National Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain) Valid Working with Children Check Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)Compliance with RCH’s Staff Immunisation (vaccination) procedure What We Offer Salary packaging Parkville location close to public transport Discounted on‑site car parking Ongoing training and development opportunities Parental leave cover Application Process Submit a CV and a tailored 1‑page cover letter highlighting how your skills and experience match the role.
