IT Implementation Engineer

The role will be mostly focused on scoped projects, but also provide ad‑hoc customer assistance, as well as, on occasions, providing extended support for our Managed Service division in solving complex issues and recommending continual improvements in the way Perfekt operates. In addition to having excellent technical, analytical, troubleshooting and written skills, you will need to be able to understand client needs and translate these into technical solutions. This requires a resourceful and dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to think outside the square. In this role, you will often be responsible for producing highly detailed solution designs, workshopping them with Perfekt's clients, then, once approved, bringing them to life within the client's environment, ensuring seamless compatibility with existing systems. To be successful in the role, you will possess many of the following skills and experience (the more of these, the better): Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure solutions in the SMB and SME space, including: VMware vSphere Foundation and VMware Cloud Foundation (including NSX) Hyper‑V and Azure Local Nutanix AHV Red Hat OpenShift Server and Storage Solutions across the following vendors Cisco Dell HPE Pure Storage NetApp Object Storage (Cloud and On‑Premise Solutions) Backup and DR Solutions Commvault Veeam Dell Data Protection Suite Dell RP4VMs VMware Live Recovery (formerly SRM) Microsoft Technologies Active Directory and Entra‑ID (including technologies such as Conditional Access Policies and Purview) Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online End User Computing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) Networking Load Balancers (NetScaler's, F5 BigIP) SAN Switching (Brocade, Cisco) Network Identity Access (Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass) An excellent track record of troubleshooting issues both within the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems A sound level of knowledge and experience in networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing and switching Implementation services experience working with customers The ability to get familiar with an environment and use your knowledge of industry, vendor and product current best practices to make informed recommendations for improvements and paths for remediation Technical IT knowledge with the ability to understand emerging trends and technologies and how to apply them in customer environments High level of written and verbal communication skills, plus an ability to communicate at all levels to explain complex concepts Possess a current driver's licence and vehicle Ideally, your previous industry experience will include: 5+ years working in IT Services, preferably in a solution delivery role Industry/Vendor certifications or accreditations Prior experience with a systems integrator will be well regarded On offer is a generous negotiated salary package, commensurate with qualifications, experience and ability to perform this role.
