Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a recognized Canadian accounting program (preferred). Have an understanding of Canadian construction project accounting processes. Minimum 5 years of experience (required). Proficient in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop). Familiar with CRA regulations and policies regarding taxation and submitting payments. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial record-keeping. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Good team communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. Duties & Key Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile financial accounts in QuickBooks. Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts. Prepare and process invoices and government remittances (GST/PST, source deductions, etc.). Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures. Generate financial reports and provide summaries for management review. Assist with job/project costing, reporting, strategic planning and analysis. Communicate with vendors, clients, and management regarding financial matters. Support the external accountant during audits or year-end reviews.
