Senior Business Analyst - FinCrime / AML with SAS Platform Exp We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (BA) with a strong background in Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) and Transaction Monitoring Analysis . The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience working with SAS platforms and a deep understanding of anti‑money laundering (AML) processes, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks. Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements for financial crime and transaction monitoring initiatives. Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into functional specifications. Solution Design & Implementation: Work closely with technology teams to design and implement SAS‑based transaction monitoring solutions. Ensure alignment of system capabilities with AML and fraud detection objectives. Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform detailed analysis of transaction data to identify suspicious patterns and anomalies. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using SAS tools for compliance monitoring. Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between business units, compliance teams, and IT to ensure smooth project delivery. Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies as needed. Testing & Quality Assurance: Support UAT and SIT phases by preparing test cases and validating outputs against requirements. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in monitoring systems. Required Skills & Experience Core Expertise: Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services. Strong knowledge of Financial Crime Compliance , AML , KYC , and Transaction Monitoring processes. Hands‑on experience with SAS platforms (SAS AML, SAS Visual Analytics, or similar). Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. Understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on regulatory compliance projects (AUSTRAC, FATF guidelines). Familiarity with financial crime risk frameworks and global AML standards. Certification in Financial Crime Compliance or AML is an advantage.
