Rollingstock Service Coordinator

Job Description We are currently on the search for a proactive and detail-driven Rollingstock Service Coordinator to manage the planning, scheduling and coordination of rollingstock maintenance and repairs across our fleet Reporting to the General Manager of Maintenance & Engineering, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the required capabilities in the following areas : Coordinating the maintenance activities (scheduled, corrective and overhaul) of SCT’s Rolling Stock fleet to ensure the safety, reliability and availability of the equipment. Collaborating with internal and external customers to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives. Participate in routine meetings with wagon maintenance contractors to track and ensure progress of maintenance activities is aligned with SCT’s expectations. Record all Rolling Stock failures and assist in following up the corrective actions to the reported failures with the Rollingstock maintenance contractor, or internal department head. Participating in the development and implementation of various projects for the Rail Maintenance and Engineering Division Coordinate and audit documentation related to Locomotives and Rollingstock. Supporting the coordination of all rolling stock maintenance activities are compliant with industry safety regulations and internal company policies. Desired Skills and Experience The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate : Essential Experience in rail, logistics, heavy industry, or maintenance coordination Strong planning and scheduling skills Understanding of rollingstock systems or willingness to develop this knowledge High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment with shifting priorities Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments Desirable Formal qualifications at the Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor’s level in a Business or Operational related stream Other Important Information We reserve the right to commence recruitment proceedings prior to the stated closing date.
