Position Overview We are seeking a proactive Data Analyst with a strong business and operations focus to join our team in Jandakot, WA. This role involves adopting a ground-up approach to data analysis, beginning with a comprehensive understanding of our business operations to identify limitations and opportunities. You will work in a flexible and fast-paced environment, collaborating with various departments to gather insights that drive strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. We are open to considering recent graduates who demonstrate the right skills and fit for our team. Key Responsibilities Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyse data from various business and operational systems to provide actionable insights. Reporting and Visualisation: Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards using Power BI to monitor key performance indicators. SQL Querying: Write efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for comprehensive analysis. Predictive Modelling: Develop predictive models and conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business and operations teams to define requirements and translate them into actionable data insights. Strategic Recommendations: Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis to enhance business operations and performance. Process Improvement: Continuously improve processes and systems for data collection, analysis, and reporting. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role, with a strong business and operations focus. We are also open to considering recent graduates who demonstrate the right skills and fit for our team. Technical Skills Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation tasks. Advanced knowledge of SQL for querying and analysing large datasets. Expertise in Power BI for creating dashboards and data visualisation. Analytical Skills Strong analytical thinking with the ability to solve complex business problems using data. Communication Skills Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders. Attention to Detail Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability Flexibility in adopting and learning different systems and technologies to meet evolving business needs. Desirable Qualifications Experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling. Familiarity with other data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau). Knowledge of business operations and supply chain management.
