The Role We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands‑on Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our food offering. You will be the creative and operational driver of our culinary program — from menu development to execution, consistency, and cost control. You will: Lead, train, and mentor a dedicated and diverse kitchen team. Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu design, food quality, food safety, and stock management. Create seasonal menus that celebrate local produce, customer feedback, and the region’s multicultural influences. Work closely with the brewing and events teams to deliver unique dining experiences, such as degustation dinners, themed nights, and large‑scale functions (up to 600 guests). Uphold strong kitchen systems, organisation, and efficiency. Maintain a calm, positive, and solutions‑focused environment — especially when the heat is on. Collaborate with leadership on innovation, events, and long‑term menu direction. About You You are the kind of chef who leads by example: calm under pressure, passionate about flavour, disciplined with systems, and eager to create food that people talk about. You’ll be a strong fit if you: Have proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a high‑volume, fast‑paced venue. Understand the importance of consistency and staff training — knowing food is only as good as the team behind it. Balance creativity with cost control and operational excellence. Enjoy engaging with the community and creating memorable dining experiences. Appreciate craft beer and love exploring food and beer pairings.
