Accounts Payable Officer

What you'll do: As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the end-to-end revenue function. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include driving transaction processing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all processes. You will also be responsible for reconciling customer fee accounts, processing customer receipts, preparing billing files, and resolving customer queries. Your commitment to quality service delivery will be key to your success in this role. Drive the transactions processing functions ensuring all transactional processing is completed accurately and on time. Ensure the customer admission and departure processes are completed in a timely manner and according to legislative requirements. Provide support for the internal audit and external audit functions as required. Reconcile customer fee accounts and prepare refunds for payment. Process customer receipts daily in accordance with procedures. Prepare and process billing files ensuring monthly deadlines are met. Resolve customer queries received by phone or email in an accurate and timely manner. Participate in business planning processes and policy and procedure formulation within your area of responsibility. What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Accounts Payable Officer position brings a wealth of experience from similar roles within large multi-site organisations. You have proven experience managing large volumes of financial data, demonstrating your ability to handle end-of-month financial processes efficiently. Your excellent interpersonal skills enable you to manage stakeholders effectively, while your proficiency with computerised financial accounting systems showcases your technical abilities. A qualification in Business Administration would be desirable but not essential. Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent (desirable). Demonstrated experience in a similar role for a large multi-site organisation. Experience in account management functions and ability to manage large volumes of financial data. Experience in end-of-month financial processes. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated experience with a computerised financial accounting system including fast accurate keyboard skills and preferably advanced spread sheeting skills.
