About The Position As part of a motivated Asset Protection Inspections Team, you will conduct asset inspections and ensure compliance at construction sites across the municipality. You will provide community advice, assist with education regarding asset protection policy and local laws, inspect and monitor construction sites to prevent or resolve damage or environmental hazards, investigate and respond to complaints, and conduct after‑hours building noise inspections as required. Responsibilities Provide community advice, assistance and education regarding asset protection policy and associated local laws. Inspect and monitor construction sites to prevent or resolve damage or environmental hazards to Council assets. Investigate and respond to complaints, effectively communicating with the community in resolving issues. Undertake after‑hours building noise inspections as required. Skills and Experience Experience in an Asset Protection or Law Enforcement role. Investigation and complaint resolution skills, with knowledge of relevant legislation and local laws. Ability to interpret legislation, gather evidence, issue infringements, summonses and court briefs. Detailed understanding of traffic and pedestrian management practices. Strong communication skills to disseminate complex information to diverse stakeholders, work independently, and resolve conflicts. Knowledge of council asset reinstatement standards. Proficiency in data entry, record maintenance and correspondence preparation. Excellent time‑management and planning abilities, with a sound analytical and conceptual skill set. Requirements Satisfactory National Police Check. Additional pre‑employment checks may be required depending on the role.
