Employment Details Work Type: Casual Band: 5A + 25% loading + Superannuation About the Position You will be part of a motivated Asset Protection Inspections Team, conducting asset inspections and ensuring compliance at construction sites across the municipality. Responsibilities Providing community advice, assistance and education regarding asset protection policy and associated local laws Inspecting and monitoring construction sites to prevent or resolve damage or environmental hazards to Council assets Investigating and responding to complaints, effectively communicating with the community to resolve issues Undertaking after‑hours building noise inspections as required Skills and Experience Experience in undertaking an Asset Protection or Law Enforcement role Skills in investigation and resolving complaints and breaches of relevant legislation and Local Laws Ability to interpret relevant legislation, gather evidence, issue infringements, summonses and court briefs Detailed understanding of traffic and pedestrian management practices to maintain safety Ability to communicate complex information to a range of stakeholders, work independently and use conflict resolution techniques Understanding of reinstatement standards for Council assets Ability to input and retrieve data, maintain records and prepare correspondence Ability to manage time, plan and prioritise work; meet deadlines and targets and have sound analytical and conceptual skills Requirements Satisfactory National Police Check Other pre‑employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements Benefits Supportive and experienced leaders that care for your development and wellbeing Vibrant health and well‑being programs Employee Assistance Program for you and your family Flexible working arrangements Training and development opportunities Discounted gym memberships at our Active Monash Recreation Centres Apply for this amazing opportunity Please submit your CV with a cover letter outlining your experience and how it relates to the role.
