Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Engineering)Our Distribution Teams are expanding in WA, join us as 2x Senior Distribution Design Engineers in either Powerline Design or Contestable Design.
The role will require you to deliver, and QA engineering designs associated with distribution network design and liason with aiding customer connections. Conduct engineering investigations and manage engineering information. Lead with technical development and process improvements. You will be required to:We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:Network line design using Poles N Wires Line Design and/or Underground Design experienceReview project scope and identify issues early on.Interact with clients to clarify scopeFamiliar with Distribution Design standards, policies and proceduresProvide technical leadership, mentoring and client managementWork with the customers and our client through the idea generating stage.Support the day-to-day activities of the projectReport the progress of the project to the team lead as needed.Provide QA/QC reviews on projects before submittal to the client.Help team lead train entry level designers and engineers.Mentor less experienced designers to improve overall team efficiency.Five (5) + years of experience in designing overhead lines and/or underground connectionsGIS, design and drafting software experienceFamiliarity with distribution design software and utility best practicesExperience preparing designs, materials list, estimating connection costs, and customer advocacy and approvalsExperience designing underground feeders from the Substation, cable sizing and cable deratingStrong command of the English language and possess good written and oral communications skillsMust have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordWork for an Australian owned company with hundreds of utility specalised staff over 15 office locations in ANZ.
