Role Type: 12mth ContractPerth, Western AustraliaRoster: Monday to FridayThis role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design our clients Hydrogen Power Generator, meeting industry standards and regulations. You will be responsible for designing and developing the electrical systems using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities• Electrical System Design: Design and develop the electrical systems including powerdistribution, control systems, auxiliary systems and implement DC power systems.• Schematic and Wiring Diagrams: Create detailed electrical schematics and wiringdiagrams using MicroStation and AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to designstandards.• Design and develop DC power systems for specific applications. This includes creatingelectrical schematics, layouts, and selecting components such as batteries, inverters, andcharge controllers.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DC power systems into largerelectrical projects, coordinating with other engineers to ensure seamless operation.• Provide drafting support for creating prototypes of power electronic systems, as needed.• Integration: Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to integrateelectrical systems seamlessly into the overall design.• Cost Management: Assist in cost estimation for electrical components and systems,optimizing designs for cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.• Testing and Troubleshooting: Participate in the testing and troubleshooting of electricalsystems, identifying and resolving issues during prototype and production phases.• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of electrical designs, changes,and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.• CAD Proficiency: Utilise MicroStation and AutoCAD software proficiently for drafting,modeling, and creating 2D and 3D drawings.• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, includingmechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure projectsuccess.
Qualifications And Experience• Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD for electrical design.• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.• Sound knowledge of electrical schematic drawings, Cable Lists, Block Diagrams, TerminalDrawings, Reports & BOMs• Experience with DC power component selection, including batteries, inverters, chargecontrollers, and power distribution systems.• Familiarity with different types of inverters and controllers and their compatibility with DCpower systems.• Proven experience in designing power electronic circuits and systems, including powerconverters, inverters, rectifiers, and DC-DC converters.• Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations for power electronicsdesign, and efficiency standards.
