Are you an experienced Structural Steel Estimator looking for your next challenge? Join Solution Steel, a leading name in structural steel fabrication and installation, working on landmark commercial and industrial projects across the region. We're looking for someone who combines technical precision with practical know-how — an estimator who not only understands the numbers but also how steel comes together onsite. Reporting directly to the Director, this is a key role within our business, offering the opportunity to be part of a respected, high-performing team. What You'll Do Review and interpret client drawings, specifications, and scope documentation to prepare accurate, compliant tenders. Apply your practical knowledge of erection methodology, cranes, access equipment, and site labour to produce realistic costings. Prepare clear and competitive quotes, estimates, and proposals that align with client expectations and Solution Steel standards. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive pricing. Identify value‑engineering opportunities and potential project risks early. Coordinate estimate preparation, programme and sequence works, and contribute to tender strategies. Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and deadlines, ensuring every submission reflects Solution Steel's reputation for excellence. What You'll Bring Minimum 5 years' experience in estimating within the structural steel or heavy fabrication industry . Strong understanding of construction methodologies and practical knowledge of site operations. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset . Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Formal qualification in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline (preferred). Strong numerical, analytical, and computer literacy skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams — from the workshop to senior management.
