The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Java technologies, microservices architecture, and cloud deployment strategies, contributing to building scalable, reliable, and efficient cloud-native applications. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain robust microservices architectures using Java technologies Design APIs and service interfaces adhering to best practices for RESTful services Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions Deploy, monitor, and manage microservices on AWS cloud infrastructure Implement containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes or AWS ECS/EKS Automate deployment pipelines and integrate CI/CD practices using tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar Optimize application performance, scalability, and security Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in cloud environments Follow best practices for security, data privacy, and compliance in cloud deployments Maintain documentation of architecture, APIs, and deployment procedures Stay updated with emerging cloud-native and microservices trends Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience developing Java-based applications Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar frameworks Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices architecture In-depth knowledge of RESTful API design and development Experience deploying applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS) Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker Experience with configuration management and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline) Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities Preferred Skills AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer) Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway) Knowledge of monitoring and logging in AWS (CloudWatch, ELK Stack) Experience with distributed tracing and performance tuning Get notified about new Java Software Engineer jobs in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia . #J-18808-Ljbffr
